Predominantly used in NPR or 'non-photorealistic' rendering, Piranesi also works well adding effects and interest to photorealistic images as here, in a beautifully detailed image by Jacek Mielewski, an architect at MAAG in Warsaw, Poland.

Cheetah3D version 3.0 for Mac OS X is able to generate EPix files ready for use by Piranesi. Before rendering, go to Render Preferences and select the 'cache EPIX' box.
When rendered to your satisfaction, save the image with a .epx extension.
